MaK move on – in more ways than one!
MaK Personnel and MaK Healthcare have moved in to new offices, and it’s all part of the Great Yarmouth based recruitment company’s continued success.
Just five years on since their launch and MaK are on the move, in more ways than one. The company has grown consistently since it opened its doors and is now one of the leading recruitment businesses in the region.
Specialising in the Industrial Commercial, Catering and Hospitality sectors, in which they’ve developed an impressive portfolio of clients, the company prides itself on placing high quality candidates into a variety of roles. Within three years of its launch MaK Personnel was a key provider to businesses throughout East Anglia.
2016 saw the launch of MaK Healthcare. Managing Director Kim Russell says, ‘ We saw an opportunity to build on the success of MaK Personnel, but we also recognised that the time was right to meet a genuine need in society. With an ageing population the requirement for skilled and compassionate care staff has never been greater. And it’s a demand that will grow.’
The growth of MaK Healthcare was a key motivation in the company moving to new premises. ‘We needed more space, and in particular more space in which we could hold confidential meetings and interviews’, says Kim Russell. ‘Placing health care workers requires us to comply with rigorous legislation we work to CQC standards and hold in depth discussions with both the candidates and our clients. Our new premises give us that’.
The team at MaK have always set the highest standards of honesty, transparency and professionalism, and it’s that ethos, together with a real focus on clients’ requirements that has fuelled the company’s success.
‘Being able to focus on the work in hand is vital’ said Kim. ‘And we were able to do that from the outset thanks to the support of The Recruit Venture Group. Their financial backing was important to us. It enabled us to start the business. But, just as vital was their continued mentoring and their giving us access to first class administrative systems. It’s what makes a good recruitment business even better. Knowing we had that level of back up is what allowed us to give all our attention to the actual business of recruiting’.
The new premises at 29 Hall Plain Gt Yarmouth NR30 2QD have been fully refurbished and decorated to be the perfect environment for a busy recruitment consultancy. ‘We’re thrilled to be here’ says Kim. ‘It’s a big move for us – MaK is moving on – in more ways than one!’.
